Accessibility

Twili is built so that people who cannot hear or see well can read it on their own, even in an emergency.

Standards we follow

  • Korean Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 (KWCAG 2.2), the Korean national standard
  • WCAG 2.2 level AA (W3C; approved as ISO/IEC 40500:2025)
  • WAI-ARIA 1.2 and the ARIA Authoring Practices Guide
  • EN 301 549 (European standard)
  • Section 508 (United States)
  • Making Content Usable for People with Cognitive and Learning Disabilities (W3C)

Extra rules for DeafBlind readers

  • Key words come first. Braille displays show one line at a time.
  • We avoid arrows, stars and other symbols that read badly in braille.
  • Nothing is only in sound or video.
  • We use lists instead of tables.

How we test

  • Automatic checks on every change.
  • Screen readers: Sense Reader, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack.
  • Braille displays used in Korea.
  • Usability testing with DeafBlind people (planned).
