About Twili

Twili is a Korean website with 119, emergency and safety information for people who are DeafBlind, hard of hearing or have low vision, their families, supporters and firefighters.

The name

Twili comes from the initials of Helen Keller's 1908 book The World I Live In. The dots next to the logo spell Twili in English braille.

How we publish

  • We only cover 119, fire, emergencies and safety.
  • Every page shows its source and the date we last checked it.
  • We publish only after an official source check or an expert review.
  • We start with what to do, in plain words.

How it started

Twili started in the AFA15 Hands-on project, with visits to the Helen Keller National Center and other organizations in New York and Boston, and work with the Seoul Fire Academy and Seoul Fire and Disaster Headquarters.
