How to prepare

  1. Drink water often

    Avoid caffeine and alcohol.

  2. Stay inside from 2 to 5 pm

It is the hottest time. If you must go out, wear a wide hat and carry water.

  3. Block the sun and let air through

Without air conditioning, close the curtains and open windows for a cross breeze.

  4. Find your nearest cooling center

Find it in the Safety Dididimdol app or on your city website. Go there in the hottest hours.

  5. Choose someone to check on you

Ask family or neighbors to check on you often.

  6. Prepare for power and water cuts

Keep a flashlight, food, a fan and bottled water.

If you feel dizzy or sick, rest now

With dizziness, nausea, headache or cramps, rest somewhere cool and sip a cool drink.

If you feel very unwell, text 119.

This does not replace a diagnosis.
