What is it

It supports DeafBlind children and young adults aged 0 to 21 and their families. It is based at Queens College.

Funded by the US Office of Special Education Programs, it gives families information, training and family-to-family links.

Let your local fire station know

Staff said registering in advance with the local fire station helps.

In Korea, you can pre-register your address, medical history and contacts with 119 Safety Call (119안심콜).

Hear it from DeafBlind people

Firefighter training works best when firefighters hear directly from DeafBlind people.

In Korea

The Helen Keller Learning Support Center near Suseo Station in Seoul teaches braille, sign language and braille displays, and offers counseling.

Based on the Twili team's meeting with NYDBC on September 29, 2026 and its website.
